Spring Repair or Replacement
-
Torsion Springs: These are installed above the door frame and they balance the door's weight. They are the main determinants of the door's open and shut problems. When one of the springs snaps, the door will either be stuck or may not close at all.
-
Extension Springs: These are put along the tracks on both sides and they extend in order to raise the door. When an extension spring breaks, it can lead to variable movement of the door or a total breakdown.
-
Signs: A sound like a loud bang, an uneven door, and a door that is heavy to lift manually.
